ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Emily Lorenz, PE, F-ACI, specializes in building code and standards work and advocacy, currently representing the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants as its senior director of technical services. Lorenz actively participates as vice-chair of the Envelope Subcommittee developing the commercial provisions of the 2024 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) and the Envelope Subcommittee of ASHRAE 90.1, and as a voting member of several committees including the 2024 IECC Commercial Committee, the ASTM International Committee E60 on Sustainability, and the American Concrete Institute’s building code subcommittee on sustainability. She also serves as an expert to ISO TC59\SC17\WG3 Environmental Declarations of Products.
Sascha Sainer, a polymer chemist in Europe by education, Sascha moved to Southeast Asia 30+ years ago and started a division of a chemical manufacturing company in the construction segment. After 10 years in manufacturing, he started up a contracting company and spent 20 years applying Alchemco’s waterproofing technology across the region. In 2022, he moved back into the manufacturing sector by joining Alchemco as the Director of Sales, and recently relocated his family to the United States.
